I LOVE New Orleans!!

This past weekend a group of co-workers and I ventured to NOLA.  We wined, we dined, and we attended a great conference.  We ate and drank all that New Orleans offered and came away stuffed, happy, and tired.  (A few pounds heavier, too.)  I would have included HOT, but it felt the same as home.  The weather hovered around 95 to 100 degrees and the humidity was high.  It felt just like home, only so New Orleans-ish!!

Well, if you don't know what that means---then imagine beautiful weather surrounded by fabulous old buildings, parades appearing out of nowhere, beads dangling from oak trees.  Food, food, food--like you can't imagine anywhere else and dancing and partying all day and night long.  And that's just the French Quarter.

My most favorite part of the city, though, is the Garden District.  You can ride the streetcar up St. Charles and it makes its way past some of the most beautiful homes you've ever seen.  If you get off at Washington, you can take a 4-block walk to Magazine Street.  This street is amazing--food, shopping, drinks, shopping.  Did I say shopping??  Magazine Street is home to wonderful stores like Perch, Sucre, Hazelnut, and Leontine Linens--- fabulous restaurants like Lilet,  La Petite Grocery, and Dominiques's--- and great bars such as The Bulldog and Bouligny Tavern.

So, if you go--remember to let me know and I'm sure I can make the drive.  New Orleans is definitely one of my favorite cities!!
