I really love the holiday season.
I absolutely love hosting Thanksgiving, but Christmas is definitely my holiday!!
I start thinking about Christmas in July... I start looking for decoration inspirations... thinking about the menus... the parties.
I wouldn't say that I'm a keep it simple Christmas kind of gal--I can't keep away from the sparkle.
This year my color scheme runs the gamut of metallics such as copper, gold and silver.
I have also incorporated reds, greens, and browns.
I attempt to use natural greenery whenever possible, but as I am allergic to most, I usually stick with live magnolia and bay with other greenery being artificial.
Here are a few sneak peeks of my Christmas decor--lovely vignettes in the foyer and dining room.
In the foyer, I used natural magnolia, pomegranates, and a few ornaments along with an antique silver footed bowl and a few dark gold candlesticks. I also showcased two "Byers Choice Carolers" from my collection.
In the dining room, I used antique copper candlesticks, faux greenery, and champagne artichoke ornaments to accent the crystal adorned trees. I used chocolate brown as an accent color in the candles as well as in a few other places in the dining room.
Hopefully I will finish all of the decorations this coming weekend---photos to follow soon.
