March Beauty Favorites-Skincare

Since starting my blog back up I really wanted to include some of my beauty favorites and reviews.  Being in my mid 40's, I find that it is hard to find products that really work for "aging" skin. (I often laugh when I think about myself having aging or maturing skin--when did I start to become older???)

When I was quite a bit younger (in my teens and twenties), I really didn't worry about my skin like I should have.  I wasn't diligent with the sunscreen and eye cream.  I so regret that now.

Now, I'm actually pretty harsh and strict when it comes to my beauty regimen.  I never miss sunscreen, apply eye cream morning and night, and am a moisturizer freak!!  I hate, hate, hate dry skin and fine lines.  I'm trying to fight them every step of the way.  Also, I have had several skin cancer scares and that is definitely one of my top concerns.

I frequently get asked "what products do you use??".  So I started writing this post and decided to break it up into skincare and makeup (it was just way too long for both). I tend to purchase a lot of products, just trying things out and hope to share new things monthly. I really don't use a lot of products.  I try to abide by the rule-quality, not quantity.

I started using this cleansing oil a little over a month ago and I completely love it.  It's made from coconut oil and works as a makeup remover and hydrating cleanser.  It really is awesome.  It takes my makeup off completely and even is gentle enough to remove regular mascara.

Ok, I'm not even playing... this mask is unbelievable.  Whenever I feel like my skin looks tired or dull, I put on one of these babies.   It's a 3 step mask--a cleanser, a hydra-essence, and the mask.  The cleanser is made from papaya and it smells great, the hydra-essence is made with sodium hyaluronate and helps your skin retain moisture to reduce fine lines, and the mask is made with ask tree charcoal and birch tree sap.  All combined leave your skin bright and hydrated.  I can't recommend this mask enough.

I must admit, this product sat in my cabinet for a few months before I even tried it.  I don't know why, but I have to say I'm so glad that I finally pulled it out.  I usually use this one to two times per week before putting on my makeup to help with a flawless application.  It is a great exfoliator.

Run out to the store and buy this product right now.  It is fantastic.  I am a tried and true Murad fan.  Their products are great and very affordable for what you get.  This moisturizer is packed full of Vitamin C and makes your skin absolutely glow.  I use it every single night and sometimes even in the morning if I'm going without makeup for the day.

Ok, ok, I know what you are going to say.  That eye cream is $$$.  Yes it is, but if there is one product that you want to spend your money on, it's eye cream.  And this, my friends, is the holy grail.  It also lasts forever (if you are careful).  It comes with a stainless steel applicator that feels fantastic under your eyes. I use this morning and night and my eyes thank me everyday.

I do not use these everyday, but when I'm going out or indulged a little too much the night before, I love to put these on and bask in all of their glamness!  They help so much with puffy undereyes and they are so hydrating to make you feel like you've gotten a full nights sleep. Perfect for a great spa day at home too.

This little gem is perfect to use everyday to make sure that your lips are soft and exfoliated. Everyone knows that there is almost nothing worse than dry, cracked lips. I use this daily for a flawless finish for my lipstick in the summer berry flavor and the smell is fantastic.

I also started using this product about a month ago and now I'm a total convert. It has a fantastic coconut smell and keeps me smelling fresh and clean all day long.   I was very nervous about switching to a natural deodorant, but now I'm so glad that I did.  I plan to cover this in depth in my next beauty post, so stay tuned.

XO,

Sabrina
