Tailgating Tuesday--Sweet Onion Crack Dip

A few years ago I made this dip for my company Christmas Party and everyone went a little crazy for it. Even 4 years later, my coworkers still ask me about this dip.  This dip is one the easiest thing ever to make.  Only a few ingredients and you've got a definite crowd pleaser.

Sweet Onion Crack Dip

prep time: 10 minscook time: 1 hour total time: 1 hours and 10 mins

  • 1 large sweet onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1-8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • dash of cayenne pepper
  • crackers for serving

  1. Preheat oven to 350℉.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the onion, garlic, mayonnaise, Parmesan cheese, cream cheese, pepper, and cayenne pepper.  Mix well and spoon into a baking pan (I used a cast-iron skillet).
  3. Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour until the dip starts to brown on the top.
  4. Serve with crackers.
